The other day I found a whack of great papers on sale at my LSS... so I FINALLY got to pick up some DeLovely from Cosmo Cricket and I am in love with it. I couldn't wait to use it with some girly fairies, so it was perfect for my card today! The colors also inspired me to give my fairies some very fairy-like hair :) Some days I wish I had bright pink hair...wouldn't that be fun? I've paired my Hugging Fairies with one of the recent Freebie Friday sentiments.

Now for some more inspiration! Hop on over to each of the blogs below to see some
fantastic Paper Makeup Stamps creations!

Raise the Bar - Sentiments Only

Today's challenge at Raise the Bar is Sentiments ONLY...NO Images! I found this one really, really hard. I mean, I have lots of great sentiments to choose from, but to use them on a card without an image? YIKES. So, I was surfing for inspiration in some other challenges and saw a Diamond Fold card and thought...YES! That's perfect! I haven't made one of these in a long time. They are really quite easy, too. In my search I also saw that PlayDate Cafe's challenge is black with a splash of color...light pink in my case. And... Sentimental Sunday this week is an open challenge, so I'm entering this over there too.

This lovely scripture sentiment is from Paper Makeup Stamps. Please come back tomorrow to see my sneak peek of the March release from PMS, and don't forget to join us on Monday for the release party hop & chat that evening.

Doodle Pantry Release Day & Clearly Delightful Blog Challenge

It's the first Doodle Pantry release of 2011 and we've got a LOVEly bunch of coconuts images for you to help you with your Valentine's Day cards this year. Having said that, here's a friendship card instead LOL. My youngest DD has a couple of birthday parties coming up and I thought this would be a cute card for her to use. I thought this cute scene should be printed full card size to showcase it, and then there was just enough room to add the sentiment. This would also be a great way for kids to make their own cards. And HEY whaddya know...Sentimental Sundays is "celebrating friendship" this week!

There's a lot going on over at Doodle Pantry this month. Of course today is the start of another Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge (#5) and all you have to do is use a Doodle Pantry image to participate for your chance to win a prize. And everyone who participates gets Love Birdies absolutely free just for participating!

Laurie also has a limited time sale on a great grab bag of images...available until January 20th...Get all these sets for half price in the grab bag!

PLUS if you buy the grab bag (or anything else, for that matter) you'll get these Love Sentiments free with your purchase.

That's a lot of goodness in one post :) Head on over to the Doodle Pantry Blog now to see some more new release samples!

Sentimental Sunday Challenge

I love Jodie's sassy ladies at Bugaboo. They naturally go with soooo many awesome sentiments. This one is one that I found at TLC Creations a while back. Paulette posts so many freebies on her blog that I can't keep up with them all. If you like digi word art, you really need to check her out...she even takes requests!

This card was made for Sentimental Sundays Challenge #13 "It's all fun and games"...make a playful or funny card. Now, I have to say that while I used a TLC word art on this card, Sentimental Sundays owner Ann (raindropecho) posts fabulous free word art regularly on the blog...I have many of hers also downloaded.

ETA: Don't forget Jodie's Moving Sale at Bugaboo...50% off until July 31st!

ETAA: Take a second to pop on up to the top post of my blog and enter my blog candy :)

I got to play some challenges today...just for fun! AND I finally took out my new SU stamps...this being one...I love Hydrangeas, so I was very excited to see how easy this stamp worked without any coloring! I used Not Quite Navy and Celery this time as I was TRYING to do the Color Throwdown...but I forgot to incorporate the Cameo Coral...ooops...this is becoming a theme for me. I DID however follow the sketch at Get Sketchy this week...I just wish I had spaced the lines of bling a bit further apart to balance the card more.

Then I broke out my latest moody girl, Moody for Dragonflies, from Paper Makeup their challenge this week is "Anything Baby"...hmm....does baby blue count? I colored her with a combo of Touch & Copic markers...I'm still trying to decide which I like better...I find they are quite different and I seem to be better with the Touch blending for some reason. This sketch is from Card Patterns and I'm also entering this card at Play Date Cafe: Black, White & Blue, as well as Fussy & Fancy: Monochrome & wings (there are dragonflies on that image).

And one more for today... I have this thing for may remember my excitement at finding the "high hopes" ant at High Hopes rubber stamps... well, Doodle Pantry has a couple of cute images, too...and I just thought this sentiment was fabulous...and unexpected. Now someone was doing a Blue & Yellow challenge too...but I'll be darned if I can find it to link here LOL. I did base this card on the Sweet Sunday Sketch as well, but now I see I'm off a bit...oh well...still going to link it! OHHHH....and Sentimental Sundays challenge this week is to use your favorite sentiment... well, this is my "new" favorite...for this week anyhow...LMBO.
