Digital Delights Day

Ooopsie...I forgot to schedule my post for today! Here's sweet Daisy in her Easter garb...I couldn't resist making a "scene" with this bunny. It's a corner of a scrapbook page from a K&Co stack. Daisy is, of course, available at Digital Delights by Louby Loo. Don't forget to check out this week's Delightful Challenge, too, which is "Must use flowers." Hey... there are flowers on that paper, LOL ;)

Heartfelt Creations Day

Well, the time has come... this is my last post as a member of the Heartfelt Creations design team. WOW...what an amazing experience this team has been. Everyone on this team has been so generous and the talent I've seen is just amazing. My final project uses the Floral Grande series again. This set just makes such stunning CAS cards. The black swirl is a die from the latest HCD set Decorative Dutch Iris. To make this card, I stamped the smallest flower three time with Memento black ink, colored with Copics and adhered with foam dots.

Sail away with PMS

This card features the Sailing By set from Paper Makeup Stamps. I know it looks all blue, but that dark color is actually Concord Grape... for the ColorQ challenge this week: Bermuda, Bashful, Kiwi & Concord. I was inspired to break out the sailboat for Case Study Challenge 31...but I missed the deadline (seems to be a trend with me LOL).

Raise the Bar - In another country!

Today's challenge at Raise the Bar is to be inspired by a foreign country!  Nothing says "Australia" like a Kangaroo, right mate? I'm also entering this one for the sketch challenge at PaperWorksCo for this week.

Trigger Tuesday with CS Designs

This week's Tuesday Trigger @

And my interpretation...obviously, I was inspired by the bright & cheery colors. I pulled out an old Mojo Monday sketch for this one. The image is from CS Designs and I'm also linking this up for their contest.

Heartfelt Creations Day

Today's Heartfelt Creations project is a simple monochromatic one that I CASEd from a magazine. This card is 4.25 x 4.25 square. The colors are Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink and Melon Mambo. Each flower was stamped with Versafine Black Onyx and cut out by hand because I don't yet have the Spellbinders Blossom 3 that these stamps coordinate with...but this allowed me to cut between the petals and curl them a bit for dimension. I added some liquid pearls in the centre. Easy Peezy!

Springing Along with CSD

Well...CRAP. I did this nice, bright blue & yellow card for a challenge... and now I can't find the challenge to link to! If anyone knows where the challenge is that was based on a picture of white daisies with a bright blue sky in the background...please let me know! This image is from a new designer I found at CDAC during their recent hop, CS Designs. Chris is also hosting some challenges this should check them out, too. I'm also entering this one over at Card Patterns sketch 107.

ETA: It was Anyone for Anya...and...ummm...well, this isn't an Anya image, so it's not eligible anyhow LMAO. Thanks Danni!

Saturday, March 19, 2011

Ok...well that title sounds like the week I'm having LMAO! But really, Paper Makeup Stamps is sponsoring Just Us Girls this week and it's a gorgeous color combo that we get to play with... So Saffron, Soft Sky, Baja Breeze and Pink Pirouette. I decided to use Moody for Dragonflies for my creation...I did have to substitute Bashful Blue on the wings since I don't have Soft Sky anymore.

The prize is a $20 gift certificate to Paper Makeup Stamps, so why don't you come and play along? If you need a little more inspiration, check out the Paper Makeup Stamps blog to see what some of the other Makeup Artists did with these colors.

Digital Delights Day

You can never have enough "get well" images, can you? Lilli here is so easy to color and you can whip up a get well card in no time with her. Today's layout is from my old stompin' grounds, The Corrosive Challenge :) Ouch Lilli and the Get Well Soon sentiment are from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.  Check out the newly released Easter images over there, too...they are very cute!

Heartfelt Creations Day

This week I'm sharing "the other" fabulous flower from the March release at Heartfelt Creations Designs. This first card is a CASE of a card from Paper Crafts magazine...I love it when you see something in a magazine and you can translate it into stamps/products you have on hand! The flower is from HCPC3374, the leaves are HCPC3376, and the sentiment is from the new sympathy set HCPC3377.

This bigger flower is from HCPC3375. I had to do this one several times to get the sentiment embossed just the end I embossed the sentiment first and stamped the black flower over it. When I did it the opposite way, the Versamark was picking up white embossing powder and I was too impatient to heat set it LOL.

Raise the Bar - Going Green (but it's not what you think)

Ok, there is some green in my card...but this week's Going Green challenge at Raise the Bar is an acrostic...and here's mine:
R-Raffia (the green twine is actually raffia)
E-Embellishment (washer)
E-Embellishment (bling)
N-New Image - It's the first time I've used this Blobby from Pink Cat Studios.

Now, you can make up your own acrostic and come play along with us!

Paper Makeup Stamps Review

Today it's my turn to show you the Raindrops and Rainbows additions set that was just released from Paper Makeup Stamps... A little paper piecing with the digi version of this stamp and voila!  I added stickles across the rainbow for the sparkle and to soften the stripes I used. Make sure you check out the preview posts on the PMS Blog for more incredible ideas for this set... there were some really awesome ones.

Digital Delights Day

Yup...I can feel it...Spring is on it's way! Know how I can tell??? Projects around the web are getting a little brighter ;) Like this sweet little Sally Snail from Digital Delights. I never seem to have a "get well" card when I need one, so Sally here is going to come in quite handy I think. Pop on over to the Digital Delights Blog to see what the rest of the DT has to show you today.

Heartfelt Creations New Release

Today's release at Heartfelt Creations is truly going to inspire the gardener in you! They've cooked up some of THE MOST GOJUS flower stamps you've ever seen! I love Irises anyhow, but this one is just sooo curly and delicate, and it's a dream to color.

On this card, I've featured the new Iris Oval HCPC 3371, which comes with the Thinking of You sentiment. They've also released a new set of dies to help you cut out the Iris & stems, HCD771.

Next up is this beautifully framed sentiment HCPC3372, which is one, large full card sized stamp! What a fabulous way to make a beautiful, yet easy to mail card! However, if you check out the Heartfelt Creations blog, there are some beautiful examples of just how versatile this stamp can be (yes, I have the inside scoop LOL).

Paper Makeup Stamps Release Day Hop

Welcome to my stop on the Paper Makeup Stamps March Release Blog Hop! We're going to help you encourage Spring to come sooner, rather than later with this release. We've got some awesome Spring images to share and I think we can all use a bit of Spring right about now, can't we? So, you should have just come from Tina's awesome Aurora creation, but if you're just stopping in, please start at the beginning to collect all your letters for the 15% discount code for your new release purchases.

I'm thrilled to show you my version of Sk8er Kat. I know I don't have nearly enough "boy" stamps, so this little guy is going to come in handy for little boy birthdays, I think! Now, he comes with the a sentiment that says "Later Sk8er" and I put the "Sk8er" part right on his skateboard...yes, that skateboard comes plain, but how fun will it be to personalize it with paper piecing and other sentiments!

I hope you'll join us tonite in the PMS Forum for the proverbial release party. It's BYO cheesecake and there are always some great laughs and games. The fun begins at 8 pm CST (10 pm for my local followers). Oh yes, before you go to Stephanie's blog, make sure you take this with you ;)

ScrapMart Blog Hop

Welcome to my stop on today's mini blog hop. It's Cancer Awareness Month, so I thought I'd make a cute little jar of daffodils...this is what will soon be sitting on my kitchen table ;) I always buy at least one's a sign of Spring and I desperately need some Spring around here! I've used the small daffodil from the Daffy Daffodil set, stems from Simple Filler Stems, and the jar from the Jean Pocket/Ball Can set.

Thanks for coming by today. Enjoy your week of Heartfelt Creations hops! For the details on the whole week's schedule, please check out the Scrap Mart Blog.

Heartfelt Creations Designs Blog Hop

(Please scroll down to the next post for my Paper Makeup Stamps Sneak Peek)

Welcome to our little Heartfelt Creations "Heartfelt Thanks" blog hop. I hope you've just come over from Clare's blog...if not and you'd like to enjoy the entire hop, please begin at Linda's blog. Our design team decided to get together and have a little blog hop to say thank you to Emma Lou & Linda for having us on their design team. Our term officially ends this month, although a few of us will get to stay on with the new team. It has been a fabulous team to work on. The generosity of the Heartfelt Creations ladies has been phenomenal and the stamps and custom dies are amazing. If I'm not asked to stay on, I will miss this team immensely. Anyhow...on to my card!

I was inspired to make this card by one that I saw in a thank you to Paper Crafts Magazine for the inspiration once again! I layered a Sahara Sand print on some Sahara cardstock and stamped the triple tulip from the Sempur Agustus Tulip set in Versafine Black for a nice dark image. I used a scrap of Soft Suede to make the "ribbon" and stamped the sentiment from Inspire Me Sentiments. I added a little cluster of Prima flowers and VOILA! This elegant card could easily be made for a wedding, shower or even sympathy!

Thanks for stopping in today. Your next stop on the Heartfelt Creations hop is Rosemary. Enjoy!

Psssssst...if you come back tomorrow, I'll have another HCD creation for you as part of the Scrap-Mart blog hop!

Paper Makeup Stamps Sneaky Peek

It's sneak peek day for me with Paper Makeup Stamps new March release. Please welcome Aurora's Dolly...she's the companion stamp to a new little girl fairy named Aurora! I've used the digi version of Dolly here, so I was able to make her a bit bigger than the rubber version, which made her just perfect for the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge this week. That big "wish" is from the Dandy Wishes set.

If you'd like to see all the other stamps being released this week, check out the Paper Makeup Stamps blog for peeks each day, ending with our big release hop & party on Monday March 7!

Raise the Bar - Sentiments Only

Today's challenge at Raise the Bar is Sentiments ONLY...NO Images! I found this one really, really hard. I mean, I have lots of great sentiments to choose from, but to use them on a card without an image? YIKES. So, I was surfing for inspiration in some other challenges and saw a Diamond Fold card and thought...YES! That's perfect! I haven't made one of these in a long time. They are really quite easy, too. In my search I also saw that PlayDate Cafe's challenge is black with a splash of color...light pink in my case. And... Sentimental Sunday this week is an open challenge, so I'm entering this over there too.

This lovely scripture sentiment is from Paper Makeup Stamps. Please come back tomorrow to see my sneak peek of the March release from PMS, and don't forget to join us on Monday for the release party hop & chat that evening.

All the images are up for viewing on the site today. Don't forget there's a new challenge starting today on Delightful Challenges and the theme this week is "Welcome Spring."

Heartfelt Creations Day

A happy accident resulted in this card :) I made the yellow flowers for a completely different card, but they didn't work...I don't remember why, but I saved them anyhow. Then I had this blue card that just needed a pop of color and VOILA, the yellow flowers worked! Here are all the Heartfelt Creations Designs products that I used on this card:

Paperworks Sketch

So a couple of weeks ago, I was introduced to Blobby from Pink Cat Studios by my good e-friend Lisa McKinney...she had a super cute card on her blog and I just fell in love with Blobby. So, when Pink Cat came out with their gnome images this week, I had to go check them out. Besides Blobby, I picked up some gnomes (the ONLY gnomes I've ever liked) and Rapunzel. Fair warning...I am going to try out for their next design team call, so everyone else BACK OFF lol. Besides being super-anxious to play with Blobby, this card is for the Paperworks Co Sketch #77.
