Corrosive Challenge - Distressing in more than one way :(

Yes, I am a little distressed today...the challenge at Corrosive Challenge this week is distressing...and even though you can't see it in this picture, I did distress the edges of the red oval and the main square. I am still trying to get the perfect card picture...and I am getting very frustrated...exposure good...picture of these days I'll figure it out.

I am also distressed today because this is my last post as a Design Team member for Corrosive Challenges. I decided to step down recently because life is just getting too busy for me and something had to go. I've been on the Corrosive team for well over a year and I've enjoyed it immensely.

Mojo Monday with Heartfelt Creations

Found myself with a little time to get inky this week and I didn't feel like doing assignments, so I played a few challenges. This one is for Mojo Monday...oh how I miss playing along with those sketches...they are always fabulous. The stamps are from Heartfelt Creations Designs Spring Medley Collection. For some reason, I feel the need to color the daffodil orange and white...personally I'm a fan of the bright yellow variety, but the challenge of coloring this version was too much to pass up...

This one is for Tuesday Morning Sketches. The cute bear image is from Heartfelt Creations Designs as well. need to look closely...they've knocked that poor little chickie out of her egg! I was almost done coloring the image when I realized that LOL.

Raise the Bar with a nice, warm drink

Today's challenge at Raise the Bar is "Mug shot"! Let's celebrate the end of winter, create a card with an image of (or someone holding) a cup of hot cocoa, coffee, etc. It has to be a hot drink (and tequila doesn't count. lol!)Preview

This image is, of course, Moody for Coffee from Paper Makeup Stamps. I think this is my favorite Moody card ever! I love these papers from K&Co. And they match the new Stampin Up! in colors perfectly...and the felt flowers from SU, too. The sentiment is from the set Caffeine Trip, also at PMS.

Digital Delights - How's that resolution coming along?

Well...I don't know about you, but my exercise resolution kind of died...I was doing great...then I got sick...then the kids had two weeks off school... sigh...maybe I'll get back to the Kettle Bell classes next week when they go back. Anyhow...thought Keep Fit Jenna would be appropriate for a card about now. You can find her at Digital Delights by Louby Lou. There's a new challenge at Delightful Challenges today, too! All you have to do is use some scraps...that tag you see was from my pile of "stuff" I gave to my kids to play with, so I think that qualifies as scrap LOL.

Heartfelt Creations Day

This is the bag that DH gave me my Valentine's Day gift in...but it was plain red when he used it LOL. I thought I should dress it up with a nice tag so I could recycle it. Such a simple thing to do to personalize a gift bag. The stamps and the die to make the black ornate corner decorations are all from Heartfelt Creations Designs! Check out their blog for details on the call for the next Design Team...this is one you don't want to miss out me.

Tip Top Tuesday with Digital Delights by Louby Lou

Digital Delights by Louby Lou is sponsoring Top Tip Tuesday this week and the challenge is Bling it On! I thought Tango here could handle some bling...I added some sparkly ribbon, stickles on the hat and the rhinestone snowflakes. It's ON! LOL

Doodle Pantry Release Day

I can hardly believe it but this is my last release as a DT member for Doodle Pantry! This has been one of my favorite teams to work on...Laurie's images are a dream to work with and she is so generous with her team. The next design team is being announced on the Doodle Pantry blog later today, so make sure to check out the new ladies...there is some fabulous talent coming your way. I am happy to say that I will be returning as a Guest Designer in August...I can't wait for that stint.

My card today features the new Lucky Sheep image and one of the new St. Patrick's Day digi papers being released as well. This is a great image to be ending my term on...I feel so lucky to have been a part of this great team.

It's a magical day at Corrosive Challenge!

This week's challenge at Corrosive Challenge is to feature a magical creature in your project. As our sponsor this month is Sparkle's Creations Rubber Stamps, I thought another Cupid Emily card was appropriate... Cupid is a magical creation isn't (s)he?

Raise the Bar with Cartoons

Today's challenge at Raise the Bar is to be inspired by a favorite cartoon character. Well, I think mine is pretty obvious considering the stamp name is "Tinkerbella"! I've had this stamped image sitting her for EVERY...seriously, I think over two years. was the day...I just happened across her and then found just enough of the perfect papers for the card in my scrap bin. So, everything but the base card was scrap...WHOO HOO! Oh...and just in case you've been hiding under a rock...this image is from Stamping Bella...a fabulous Canadian stamp company ;)

Digital Delights Love You Lara

Today for my Digital Delights post I thought I'd show you how to stretch your Valentine's Day images a little further...just because it's all hearts, doesn't mean you can't send it another time! This would be a great encouragement card for someone who just needs a hug. The sentiment is from TLC Creations.

Heartfelt Creations

Today on the Heartfelt Creations blog you'll find more inspiration from the February release. Today I'm featuring the other cross from this release HCPC 3365 Decorative Vintage Cross. I've embossed it in gold twice and paper pieced the darker over the yellow. The white flowers are posies from the Posy Patch collection. A really simple card that could be used for a Sympathy card or an encouragement card.

Wool Ewe Be Mine?

Happy Valentine's Day. I hope everyone has a "lovely" day :) To celebrate, I thought I would feature this sweet Doodle Pantry card I made for my friend that collects sheep. Fun note on this one... see all the pink hearts across the top & bottom? Those are the punches from making the heart borders along the sides...I've always thought they should be used for something and I finally did it! YAY me :)

Corrosive Challenge - Sketchy Time

Today is sketch day at Corrosive Challenge! It's a good one for using up some scraps of leftovers from that last project that are still on your desk least that's what I did! This sweet fairy is the latest release over at Paper Makeup Stamps. This is Natalie and she is a special, digi-only that was released to celebrate Paper Makeup's second anniversary.

Raise the Bar - No Pink or Red

No pink or red today at Raise the Bar? No problem... I chose these two PRE-COLORED ant images from Doodle Pantry to make my card. I was getting so far behind in my assignments last month that I decided to try some of Lauries pre-colored images. Now my printer doesn't do a fantastic job...notice those freakin' lines in the purple heart? Oh well... my fault, not Laurie's. And you can customize the hearts with your choice of several little sayings, too. If my DDs hadn't picked out their Valentine's "tattoo" cards already, I'd be tempted to make these!

Digital Delights Thursday

Soooo...if you haven't seen on Facebook or Twitter...I've come down with a sinus infection...on top of the cold I was just getting over...the drugs going into this body right is all I can say. Anyhow, I'm starting to feel a bit better, but haven't been doing much crafting this week.  So, a very short post for Digital Delights today to show you this newly released Kitty Angel image, perfect for pet sympathy cards. There are dogs in the set too, for the dog lovers. Head on over to Digital Delights by Louby Lou for more inspiration and to buy the set. You'll also see some new digi papers and SVG cut files too.

Heartfelt Creations New Release

There's a new release at Heartfelt Creations today and it includes another unbelievable window die cut! The new Oval Window die is soooo versatile. For this card, I removed the cross pieces to make a simple frame. I made the frame from chocolate Coredinations paper and scuffed up the embossed parts with a sanding simple!

For this card, I used the following products:
HCD 701 Posy Patch
HCD 710 Window Scene Oval
HCPC 3366 Wrought Iron Cross

Thank you berry much

When I saw this plaid pattern, I knew immediately I wanted to pair it with this luscious strawberry image from Doodle Pantry--and I've used the pre-colored version today because I'm still trying to get caught up on all my assignments LOL. Laurie's pre-colored images make for fabulous quickie cards.

Paper Makeup Stamps LOVE Hop

Paper Makeup Stamps is turning 2 years old!  And to celebrate the occasion, we are having a super fun VIP blog hop with the theme "the things we love".  The entire design team invited special crafters to play along in this hop. If you just came from Nicole Anderson's blog, you're on the right track. To see everyone involved, please check out the Paper Makeup Stamps company blog for a master list...and while you're there, don't forget to enter your self to win a super fabulous prize!

To make my "love" card, I went waaaaaay back to the beginning of PMS and pulled out Lauren in Love, one of the first of the Beautiful Day fairies. Of course, when I first got her, I barely knew what a Copic was...and look at me now! LOL The sentiment is from Little Moments, and those lips in the background, while rumoured to belong to our very own Makeup Artist Shaela Odd, come from the Kiss & Make Up set. now I am sooo excited to invite you to check out the blog of my invitee Cabio. Her creations are always divine and I cannot wait to see what she's cooked up for us today. If you get lost along the way, here's the list of participants.

Corrosive Challenge - Red, Yellow, Orange FIRE!

It's the first Corrosive Challenge of February, so that means the winner for January is posted on the blog, and we're debuting a new sponsor...and this month the lovely Sparkle of Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps is our sponsor. She is so sweet she sent us all a real, rubber stamp from her collection to use for the challenges this month and I got Cupid Emily. Today's challenge is a color combo, Red, Yellow and Orange. That makes for one HOT Valentine LOL. This sentiment is from TLC Creations. Come play along each week this month for a chance to win two brand spankin' newly released SCRS stamps!

Doodle Pantry Release Day

It's release day at Doodle Pantry and Laurie is releasing some fabulous images again...last minute Valentine's anyone? There's an awesome Sheep image all pre-colored for your last minute crafting! You might recognize the sheep from my card last Friday...this image was a freebie for completing the CDAC Heart Hop, but for those who missed out, you can now buy it at the Doodle Pantry store.

Now what I have to show you today is Laurie's new Pyramid Box. The file is available in PDF or SVG for your Cricut. I used the SVG to make this little box.

I cut it out of thick double-sided printed paper so the inside would be pretty too :) A little scallop edging and some ribbon and you've got a sweet little box for party favors. At 100% size it just fits a Hershey's Kiss, but there's lots of room to expand it and still fit it on a sheet of paper, so that will be my next project.

Since it's February, it's time for a new challenge at Doodle Pantry Digital Challenges and the theme is to use any Doodle Pantry image. Also, there's a new Digi Grab Bag sale on too! These images are all half price from Feb 5-19!

Raise the Bar with Hearts

Today's challenge at Raise the Bar is to use an image with a heart in it for Valentine's Day.  This sweet couple was one of the freebies for completing the CDAC and it's from Just Some Lines. Show us your hearts this week and link up over at the blog!

PaperCraft Star Challenge

I've been stalking the PaperCraft Star challenge blog for a while, just waiting to find the time to join in...and this week's sketch really caught my eye. So much that I've created at least two more cards using it, but I can't show them until later this week LOL.

This sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations Designs, as are the flower stamps and the matching dies to cut out the flowers. The big circle die is from Crafts Too....I am so excited that my LSS is finally carrying these (one can never have enough embossing die cutting thingies).

Digital Delights Blasts Off with a new release!

Digital Delights by Louby Lou is blasting off with a new release that's perfect for the little boy in your life. Billy has a rocket and all the accessories to make a universe filled with space-themed creations. This week's challenge at Delightful Challenges is the perfect excuse to play with the new set, too... the theme is "Come fly with me"--use anything that flies.

This layout is Card Patterns sketch 100. I used some of the printed paper to paper piece the main part of the rocket, adding shadow with a grey Touch and highlights with a white gel pen. Billy and the stars are colored with Copics. I never did get a sentiment on this one...I often wish I had the foresight to print a sentiment on in a certain spot...and this was the case. I wished I had printed one on the orange strip...oh well...this is the ONLY downside I have found to digi can't do that afterwards LOL.

Heartfelt Creations Day

Today I've got two very different versions of the beautiful fuchsia stamp that is part of Heartfelt Creations Springtime Medley released in January. Above, a very dark version of purple fuchsias...I love the purple fuschias. These are a bit dark... a good reason for me to go out and buy some more (lighter) purple Copics, isn't it? LOL A great card for's FLAT. And it could be used for a variety of occasions...Sympathy, birthday, thank you...pretty much anything. The embossed border is courtesy of Cuttlebug's Grace's Frame. I think this is the first time I've used it!

And here's a quickie version for those card "emergencies". I was inspired to make this card by the latest edition of Paper Crafts magazine. The flowers are stamped in Rich Razzleberry and the papers are Rich Razzleberry and Basic Grey...I know they don't show up well on here.
