Corrosive Challenge day

Today's challenge at Corrosive Challenge is to CASE a card by one of our design team members! This is so much gives you a chance to go browsing around some blogs, which is always a great inspiration. I started with Mary's blog, and I didn't have to go very far before I found THIS CARD to be inspired by.

It was my week to use a Robyn's Fetish image, and this image is part of their Fright Night digital paper pack!  I just scaled it down to the size I needed and added the border mat. I changed the original color to black before I printed (it comes as a nice brownish color). Then I punched a circle and used it to mask off the moon while I sponged navy ink all around to create a nice night sky. Soooo simple!

Makeup for the Weekend

This week's Makeup 4 the Weekend challenge is to make a treat holder/box/bag of some kind, and the trick is to use Chocolate as one of your colors. I recently discovered these awesome double pocket bags on SCS. They are soooo easy to make and it's a great little giftie for bus drivers, teachers, etc. I made a whole pile of them from my huge stash of Christmas papers that I didn't know what else I would do with (some of them are ugly stripes that look awesome done up this way!) Now they're just sitting there waiting to be decorated! This one was just perfect for today's chocolate challenge. Stop on over at the PMS Blog to see what my fellow DT members have come up with for this challenge, and then play along!

Go, Go, Go! At Raise the Bar

Today's theme at Raise the Bar is "Go Go Go" - use a vehicle on your card. I had this hilarious guy from Just Inklined that I hadn't used yet, so I thought he'd be perfect for this challenge. I swear I stared at this image for a good 20 minutes before I realized it was a walker and not a motorbike LMBO. Come join the fun with vehicles this week at Raise the Bar!

Corrosive Challenge Day

Today's challenge at Corrosive Challenge is Halloween (or black & orange if you don't do Halloween). I don't really "celebrate" Halloween, but these Doodle Pantry ants are just too cute to pass up.

On a totally different note...I built myself a make-shift light box.... so...all you photo-savvy this pic any better? I need to get another light on the other side to cut the shadow, I know...but I think it's better colors this way...would love some opinions. This one can stay put and not be "redone" everytime I need a photo. That was a pain in the patookas before LOL.

Doodle Pantry for PWCO SS55

My card today features the new horse image from Doodle Pantry, just released this week. I went searching for a current sketch challenge that used a large circle, and I found one over at the Paper Works Co. blog. I don't think I've played there before...but that's why I love The Daily Dare--Deb keeps the challenge lists up to date, so I always go there to find out what's going on in the stamping world :) Seriously, I must check that place 15-20 times on a weekend!

Raise the Bar at PMS!

This cute little number is for the shaped card challenge at Makeup 4 the Weekend and for Joni's color combo challenge at Raise the Bar (Orange, Black & Purple). I don't know if I would wear an orange corset...but if I did, it would definitely be a TREAT for DH! LOL

Doodle Pantry Release Day

It's the 20th so that means Laurie has another release for us over at Doodle Pantry! Isn't this one...wait for it....

Sorry...couldn't help myself. I'm really not a fruity person...but I'm always up for a challenge...and getting the color right on these peaches was a bit challenging...I still don't have all the Copics, so I toned down my oranges with a light brown...I think it worked. Head on over to Doodle Pantry now to see the other cute images she's releasing today. This layout is for Sweet Sunday Sketch 89.

Corrosive Challenge Day

It's NO WHITE day at Corrosive Challenge. It's harder than it looks! I used the plain back side of some designer Christmas paper for my sentiment...just wish I had embossed it...oh time, right? Come show us what you can do WITHOUT any white this week at can still get your name in for the Robyn's Fetish prize this month.

This sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations Designs...part of the Joyous Noel set. It is simply stamped in black, with the Noel colored in with an SU marker. I also shaded/highlighted with red SU chalk around the outside of the nestie oval. The beautiful black die cut at the top is also Heartfelt Creations Designs--one of their custom made die cuts from the set Decorative Butterfly Borders.

Raise the Bar at PMS!

Today's challenge at Raise the Bar is to use an image of a hobby...doesn't have to be YOUR hobby (thank goodness because my garden is a DIS-AS-TER!). I didn't have a whole lot of hobby images to choose from... no golf...and for some reason I was drawing a blank on other hobby possibilities.

Today's Makeup 4 The Weekend challenge is to be inspired by a song...any song... and I found John Denver's Muppet Show appearance endearing & inspiring... he sang "The Garden Song" perfect! Here's a link in case you'd like to hear it...I bet you'll recognize the lyrics :)

This cute little birdie is another one of Laurie's great Fall digi stamps over at Doodle Pantry. Aren't those cheeks just waiting for a pinch? Have you played along at the Clearly Delightful Blog Challenge this month? All you have to do this month is use any Doodle Pantry image and some ribbon...HEY...this card qualifies LOL.

Paper Makeup Stamps New Release Review

It's review day at Paper Makeup Stamps, and for once, we're NOT talking about Pumpkin Spice Lattes! NOOOOO! We're all about the chocolate this time. Did you see Hershey, the chocolate lovin monster? Corrosive Challenge Sketch Day

This week is sketch week at Corrosive Challenge and here's the sketch Janet has cooked up for us. This is my take...a bit different on the circles :) my circles are a bit smaller than the sketch, but it works, doesn't it? This week is another chance for you to win a prize from Robyn's Fetish, so pop on over to the blog and get some more inspiration to play along!

This cardinal stamp & sentiment are from Heartfelt Creations...boy, as a cardinal lover, I sure picked the right design team to apply for didn't I? This particular cardinal stamp is from the Snowy Cardinal set.

Raise the Bra!

It's all about PINK this week at Raise the Bra (no that's NOT a typo). We're honoring those who are fighting Breast Cancer today by making our cards pink & girly. I chose this cute little awareness birdie from Doodle Pantry.  Her scarf is just adorable...I couldn't resist "glamming" her up with some stickles. Come on over and show us your pink & girly cards at Raise the Bar this week!

Paper Makeup Release Day & Blog Hop

Thanks for stopping in to my blop today for the Paper Makeup Stamps Release Day Blog Hop...If you've just come from Stephanie's sweet cupcake project, then you're on the right track. If not, you should head back to the PMS Blog and start at the beginning (you wouldn't want to miss the discount code).

We've got a couple of cute new monsters for you monster-loving gals this month. This guy doesn't really have a name...we just call him the Leaf Monster...or is that Leif? I had so much fun coloring him up with all the gorgeous fall colors. I used the "out of the box" technique again with my nesties (loooove doing this) so that his tail would be hanging out. The sentiment comes with him, too!

You're next blop is Christi Snow with a yummilicious creation for ya. Don't forget to collect all the letters along the way for your 15% discount code for all new release purchases... my letter is:

See you at the party tonite??? I sure hope so, it's a lot of fun and you just never know when Katie is going to give away some prizes :) Just check in to the PMS Forum around 9pm EST (10 Atlantic).

Moxie Fab Trigger Tuesday

This is my first time playing at Moxie Fab...but this inspiration pic just drew me in. My style is quite different than what I see in Paper Crafts and on Moxie Fab, but I still enjoy the projects for inspiration. Here are my two cards inspired by the colors in the picture.
This one features Hugging Fairies from Paper Makeup Stamps. I actually colored with a water pen & ink, SU markers and some's that for variety? The sentiment is also from PMS.

This flower is from the PMS set Dandy Wishes. I kept trying to add more to this card, but it just really wanted to be CAS.

Heartfelt Creations - More Christmas Cardinals

OOoops... I forgot this was set to publish today and didn't put in any info! Thanks to those who commented anyhow LOL.  This is another beautiful stamp from Heartfelt Creations: Cardinal Pine Cone Border. Now, what you can't see in this pic is that I paper toled the birds...but I only popped up their bellies on foam dots and glued their tails & heads down flat so their bellies look nice and round! And I added a bit of glitter stickles on the pine cones. This is a larger stamp... that panel is 6.5 inches wide and the card is 5x7.

Paper Makeup Sneek Peek

This is one of the new "school" fairies being released at Paper Makeup Stamps this week. Man...I can remember days when I would have loved to have had one of those bags on wheels for my books LOL.

You've got all month to play along to win some great Robyn's Fetish digi stamps and a guest DT spot at Corrosive Challenge--but why wait? Head on over today and link up your creation.

M4TW44 & Raise the Bar

The challenge issued at Paper Makeup Stamps this week is another great inspiration challenge...for M4TW44 be inspired by this gorgeous necklace. I just love those ribbon ties (is that what they are???) I would love this's just so cool. So, I was inspired by the ties...I kind of thought they look like a pile of I weird?'s an inspiration bear with me. the colors, too...reds, yellow/gold and green...say fall-ish ;)

Here's what I came up with. I used Moody for Fall and one of the sentiments from Little Moments. This layout is for Card Patterns Sketch 83

Now Joni has challenged the Raise the Bar followers to a F.A.LL recipe challenge:
F - Flowers (brads)
A - at least two ribbons
LL - Lots of Leaves

And in true RTB fashion, I've pulled out a mat stack from K&Co Wild Saffron collection that I've had for probably 2 years and never opened! I love the detail of all the punched holes in the corners. I'm also entering this at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge #9 (Fall) this week.

Today is October 1st... so do you know what that means????

Happy Birthday to ME!
I'll be home all day ALONE, treating myself to a good 'ol stamping festival :) YAY...Now if only I had some friends here to share the day with me...but my best friends are all from away or working...booooo! I feel sad...gonna go make me another latte and find my apple crisp recipe... DD is going on a field trip to the apple orchard today, so we'll be having apple crisp this weekend...yummmmm! Better than a birthday cake, even if I have to make it myself LOL

If you feel sorry for me...feel free to send gifts :)
