Heartfelt Creations Winter Wonderland & Prizes to be won!

It's beginning to look a lot like least in my head. I'm already thinking about Christmas cards as I have some orders to fill this year, and a TON of new Christmas stamps to play with. Take the new Heartfelt Creations Designs Winter Wonderland collection, for example. This perfectly matched tag & wrapping paper came together so quickly with the HCPC3343 Let It Snow Flurries set.

Here's a little peeky at the way I did the tag inside...and no, Mom... if you're reading this...there's no present in there for you LOL

Here are the instructions for this set:
Cut blank wrapping paper to the size you require. Randomly stamp Snowflake Background in Baja Blue to cover paper. Add contrasting snowflakes in Not Quite Navy and Rich Razzleberry. For tag, cut and emboss Spellbinders Label #5 in Marina Mist & Rich Razzleberry. Stamp Let It Snow sentiment in Not Quite Navy on white paper. Color “snow” with Marina Mist marker. Cut & emboss with Nestabilities oval—do not remove die after embossing. Rub chalk over sentiment with sponge dauber. Now you can remove the die ;) Attach oval to Label #5 cut outs. Pierce hole for ribbon & charm. Attach charm with brad. Attach folded square of cardstock to back of tag to hide brad ends, stamp snowflakes in Rich Razzleberry.  Use ribbon to attach tag to package. If desired, add clear Stickles to the snow tops.

The Winter Wonderland Collection features 9 new PreCut Stamp Sets. These sets coordinate with the exclusive new Heartfelt Creations Holly-Ornament Die made by Spellbinders and 1 existing Snowflake Wonder Spellbinder Shapeabilities. Click Here to view all the new products. To celebrate the new release; we will be giving away the complete release valued at $159.00 to two lucky winners. Leave a comment on the HC blog or the HC Facebook page to be entered to win by October 5. The winner will be announced on October 6.

Pelican Birthday

Today I'm sharing what I hope is a "manly" birthday least, that's what I was going for when I chose this Doodle Pantry image and the blue & grey color combo... I think the bow is ok...isn't it? My father in law likes to have a stash of my cards on hand to use, but I have so few cards I feel I can give him, that I've decided to make a concentrated effort to do more manly cards...especially with my Doodle Pantry images because the worms & ants work perfectly for men, I think. Here's the full set that the Pelican image is part of:

Raise the Bar with Paper Makeup

Yeah...ummm...I'm late. The challenge at Raise the Bar this week is to use a jacket, scarf, hat or something else that signifies "getting bundled up!" Henry from Paper Makeup Stamps was just the thing...and the sentiment from Little Moments was the perfect addition.

Corrosive Challenge Day

Today's challenge at Corrosive Challenge is masking. But, WAIT, you say??? Those are digi images from do you mask with digi images? Well, it's quite simple. You put two images on the same sheet in your document, and move them together, overlapping as needed. Depending on how the images were designed, it's easier with some than others. Check out this post from a few days ago with my Doodle Pantry sheep for another sample.

I arranged the pig & turkey in a Word doc, added the text above and below and then I drew in the thought bubbles by hand.

This is your last chance for September's prize at Corrosive Challenge...a $10 gc to Inktegrity's online store, plus a Guest DT spot for Corrosive run along and do some masking!

Heartfelt Creations

Yup...that's right...I Design for Heartfelt Creations...I'm a little late announcing it, nonetheless, it's true! I am so excited about this new gig. Did you know that Heartfelt Creations has a line of custom designed Spellbinders that match their stamp sets? THAT is why I'm so excited. I've been wanting stamps to work with nesties and then one day I discovered Heartfelt Creations. AND they happened to be having a DT call when I discovered them. So, get ready for six months of fun & fab new creations...Heartfelt ones (LOL). Here is one that I submitted for the semi-finalist round of the DT call.

Products Used on the projects
HCPC 3349 Cardinal Holiday Mailbox PreCut Set
HCD 706 Cardinal Family Die

I used the My Time Made Easy LLC template to make  a matching birdhouse—part of the roof opens up so you can use it as a gift box.  I added flowersoft to the roof, windows & door to look like snow, and a strip of red gems to look like Christmas lights. I used the largest of the Cardinal dies and embossed it, adding a single black gem for the eye. To get the bird popped out from the house a bit more, I stacked three foam dots on top of each other before adhering to the house.

Have Ewe Heard about the new Doodle Pantry Release???

Laurie has doodled up another fantabulous release at Doodle Pantry! I am actually out of town, but I did manage to make this cute little card before I went. These sheep are so great to do up in a hurry because they look fabulous with very little coloring! This card COULD go together in about 15 minutes... if I didn't stick it together without the ribbon...or cut off the original sentiment with my nestie... or a host of other things that seemed to happen that turned this into a 1 hour project LOL. Here's the inside:
For this image, I just arranged the dancing sheep three times and "grouped" it together to resize as needed. It works kind of like the "masking" technique if your digis are designed properly...and Laurie's ARE :) If not, their legs would show through the legs in front of them, etc.

Corrosive Challege

Today's challenge at Corrosive is to use up some old supplies that have dust on them. I found this Inktegrity image that I've had printed out for months, and used an OLD line of bling to dress up the card. Inktegrity is this month's sponsor at Corrosive and one lucky participant will win a $10 gc to the Inktegrity!

A YUMMY Combination

I think the last heat wave really gave my mojo a jumpstart. I was able to combine the Raise the Bar Challenge and the Paper Makeup Stamps Makeup 4 the Weekend Challenges once again! I {LOVE} it when that happens.

Raise the Bar's challenge this week is to use something "yummy" on your project...well, there's been a lot of talk with the PMS team about Pumpkin Spice Lattes, I thought I'd use coffee as my yummy! Apparently I missed the memo that our "Yummy" was supposed to be a cake or a pie, LOL. I'm not a Pumpkin Spice fan, but I do love me a Vanilla or Caramel latte...mmmmmm....laaaaaatte.

This week's Makeup 4 the Weekend challenge is this sketch, and I used my PMS Caffeine Trip set to make the lattes.
M4TW42 Card

Come join me in one or both of the challenges this week!

Doodle Pantry Pig Me Up

This one is for my friend Kiley if she happens to be looking! I know you love pigs :) Laurie at Doodle Pantry has a great line of realistic looking animals and this cute little piglet is just one! I was worried that I wouldn't be able to color a realistic animal, but I'm quite happy with this one. I mixed my brown & pink Copics to get this shade of spotty pig :)

Precious Piglet was part of the newest Doodle Pantry release on September 5. And Laurie will be releasing even more new images in just a few days on the 20th. That's also the day we find out who wins the Clearly Delightful Blog Challenge for this month, so if you haven't played along yet, you still have time to earn your free Get Well Worm image.

Corrosive Challenge sketch with Inktegrity

It's sketch time at Corrosive Challenge! Here's my take on this week's sketch using Inktegrity's Rose Fairy. Inktegrity is this month's sponsor at Corrosive Challenge, so you can win a $10 gc to the Inktegrity store just for playing along with our challenges this month.

This is, without a doubt, my most favorite-ist ever Inktegrity creation...and I have a lot of them. It took me a long time to color those roses with my Copics, but it was worth it...and soooo much fun! The roses actually have more dimension on-screen than in person...imagine that LOL

Purse-onally, I think Lisabee is FABULOUS!

Have you made your cards for the PMS September Release Party challenges yet? There's an awesome sketch based on a card that Lisa M (aka Lisabee) found for us, and there's a great color combo challenge to use Pink, Teal & Chocolate. Above is my card for the sketch challenge. When I saw this Bella Blvd. paper, I had to buy some JUST to go with the Retail Therapy set PMS released in August. This sketch is really should check out the other DT members creations...they are phenomenal.

BUT WAIT! There's another reason I think Lisabee is fabulous. She was my "secret admirer" for this round of the PMS team's "secret sister" game and this is what she sent me! There's two beautiful, classy cards there in the back, a personalized notbook (I love green by the way), she made that little daisy purse sitcky note holder. There's also a tone of embelishments, some cool wooden ones I've never seen before, a sweet little candle, and some glittery chipboard letters. OH! It's so fun to open surprise packages. Thank you Lisa!

Blog Candy REDRAW

Hmmm....well.... the winner did NOT contact me! So, lucky for NIKKI, I'm visited again this morning and her name came out #43... Lucky girl, I see she won the Starving Artist Stamps candy yesterday, too :) NIKKI, you have one week to contact me to claim your prize...

PMS Review Day

It's PMS September Release Review day...and it's M4TW inspiration day... AAAANNND Joni has given us a color challenge at Raise the Bar this week... Thankfully, I was able to combine them all into one project!

Joni challenged us to use Brown, Green & Orange. I knew right away I needed to find this old K&Co paper to use...I don't know what collection it's from, but it's very decadent and quite "fall-ish". This fit perfectly with Dawn's poetic inspiration challenge for the Makeup 4 the Weekend Challenge this week. Here's the poem she gave us:

Autumn Fairy

The Autumn fairy weaves her spell
Spreads out her cloth of gold
Adorns the fields and woodlands both
With the riches of days so old

She makes the plants and flowers bloom
Displaying Nature's glory
For soon cold Winter's dismal gloom
Will tell a different story

-Author Unknown

This sentiment on the card is from the September release at Paper Makeup Stamps and is part of the "When There's Nothing Left to Say" sentiment set pictured below, and I paired it up with an older image of a cross. If you haven't had a chance to use your discount code from the blog hop yet, you have a couple more days to take advantage of Katie's generosity and buy anything in the new release at a 15% discount! Don't forget also, every purchase this month get the free "Best Wishes" sentiment stamp.

More new release from Doodle Pantry

Here's is another one of Laurie's whimsical images from Doodle Pantry's September Release. I have a friend who collects sheep, so I'm always on the lookout for new and interesting sheep I'll send her this card, just because.

This is the front of my card...I kept it really simple to focus on the image...which I loved coloring...soooooo easy! I cut out a second sheep and popped it up on foam dots for dimension.

Tee Hee... this is the inside of the card. simple to color! This could literally be a 15 minute card. Here's the whole set you can purchase at Doodle Pantry. Don't forget you can participate in the Clearly Delightful Blog Challenge this month and receive the Get Well Worm image just for participating!

Doodle Pantry Release Day & Clearly Delightful Blog Challenge

I have THREE posts today!
Please scroll down for my
Corrosive Challenge post and my
Paper Makeup Stamps Sneek Preview Post.

Well, you may have noticed that I've been asked to join the Doodle Pantry DT was announced while I was on vacation and I'm just now getting a chance to announce it myself! I'm so excited to work with Laurie's whimsical images...she has this fabulous line of ants and I have a love-on for ants recently...I don't know why, but they are just so cute when they're not crawling around my house!

With Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) just around the corner, Laurie has designed a fabulous awareness set. In Laurie's words

"This set is a tribute to breast cancer awareness.  We all have undoubtedly been affected by this disease one way or another, whether it has affected someone we dearly love, or an acquaintance.  This set can be used to make cards, tags, or gifts in memory of someone lost, or in celebration of a survivor.  Either way, you will be showing your support for the general purpose of finding a cure for the deadly and unwelcome cancer.

The ribbons in this set can actually be colored to support ANY cause, yellow, red, blue, orange, so it literally can be used for any purpose and all year long!

The sale of this set is not a contest, or collection fund.   Regardless of the sales of this product, Doodle Pantry has vowed to make yearly contribtions to a nationally recognized breast cancer awareness non-profit organization.  This set has been created as a reminder and promise to do so.   A report will be posted in December on the details regarding the contribution, for those that are interested."

This month's Clearly Delightful Blog Challenge #9 is to use any Doodle Pantry image...pretty simple, right? Especially with a whole batch of new releases out today, and there's even a few freebies to whet your appetite. Did you know that just for participating in the CDBC you will receive a free Doodle Pantry image? read that right! Everyone who participates this month will receive Get Well Worm--seen in the set below. C'mon...come play along! You know you waaaaannnnnt to!

And... if you are a member of CDAC, Doodle Pantry is also hosting this month's embellishment challenge, with a chance to win even more DP goodness...and there is a beautiful freebie there to play with, too.

FINALLY, Laurie is having a Labor Day sale! 30 % off your entire cart at Doodle Pantry through better time to get ants in your pants errrr....cart :)

PMS September Sneak Peek!

I have THREE posts today!
Please scroll for
Corrosive Challenge post and my

Quite appropriate that I was working on my sneak peek of this new fairy image yesterday during a hurricane, don't you think? Well, actually, I believe it was only a tropical storm when it got here, but still, the windows did rattle a bit.

Let me introduce you to Kat! She's named after the daughter of fellow PMS Makeup Artist Christi Snow! If you love the Beautiful Day Fairies as much as me, then you're definitely going to want to check out the rest of the sneak peeks for today...there are more fairies to see!

The sketch I used for this card came from this week's Flutterby Wednesday challenge, run by another fellow PMS Makeup Artist, Danni Bindel. Danni is celebrating her birthday this week and is having a huge celebration on the Flutterby Wednesday have to have played in the challenge before, tho, because the prize is THAT awesome.

Photobucket a little more PMS business to share with you... The September Release Party is happening on Tuesday night at 9pm EDT (10 AST for the locals). Join us at the PMS Forum for some chatting, fun & games. If you missed Friday & Saturday's Sneek Peak posts on the PMS Blog, go check out the fabulous new kit & Nothing Left to Say sentiment set. There are also some chances to win some of the new releases, so don't forget to post the release button on your blog before the party!

I'll see you back here on Tuesday for my Blog Hop creation!

Corrosive Challenge Day - Three samples to show!

I have THREE posts today!
Please scroll up for my
Doodle Pantry Release post and my
Paper Makeup Stamps Sneek Preview Post.

This week's challenge at Corrosive Challenge is Red & Olive. Of course, I immediately thought of Christmas and while rifling through my scrap bin to find this beautiful Red SU paper from last year, I came across this lovely olive flocked dp, too...I haven't a clue who made it, but it was perfect for this card. I only had a small piece of the olive, so I cut out as many ornaments as I could and I had enough for 2 I played. This was the first one I did...I like it, but the sentiment is a bit small...didn't plan well for that part. So then I played some more and came up with the one below:

You may remember this one from a post a couple of weeks ago for Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge. I like this one better, but had to post it back then for her challenge. These cards are SUPER easy and great for using up scraps of designer paper. They are also perfectly flat, so they are easy for mailing...and when you mail a lot of cards, making them fit the one-stamp guidelines is important :)

But then, I found some awesome Olive & Green dp that wasn't Christmas related, so I made another card using the Corrosive Challenge monthly sponsor's image. This image was a freebie from Inktegrity a couple weeks ago, but Joni has a ton of other cute image for ya! I used the Sunday Sketch & Stamp sketch for this one, but I'm too late to join :( I seem to have a problem with that LOL

Play along at Corrosive Challenge this month for a chance to win a $10 GC to Joni's Inktegrity shop!

Raise the Bar - Blogspiration

WoooooooWEEEEE it's been hot here this week. Today I believe it went over 40 degrees! We almost never get it that hot around here....we're melting... But it has meant I got to stay in out of the sun & heat to stamp and get caught up on some assignments! This card is for several challenges, but it started out as a card for Raise the Bar--to be inspired by your blog in some way... well, I think you can see the inspiration :)

I also used ColorQ48-Bermuda Bay, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil & Pumpkin....and hey, I'm getting this one in on time! I've used the PaperMakeup Stamps Dandy Wishes set to make this a birthday card for last week's Makeup 4 the Weekend Challenge. And finally, I used Kazan's sketch for 2Sketches4You this week where PaperMakeup Stamps is the sponsor and you can win a fab PMS prize package for participating!
