My DDs and I say this all the time with our arms wide open...I thought of that immediately when I saw the image...this will be a great card to praise them for something I'm proud of very soon :) This sentiment is my very own creation! I think I've finally figured out how to make them pretty LOL
I pulled this image out of my stash to see what I could do with it. I have been practising my watercoloring with blender pens & ink puddles. The layout is an old MOJO sketch. This combo is Color Dare 15: Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point and Summer Sun. WOWZA that sounds bright, doesn't it? Well it certainly is bright, but I LOOOOVE this card. I have to quote one of my stamping idols at this point--JanTink--"Isn't it stinkin GOJUS? YILM" I plan to pull out the rest of this image and make a whole set of this card I love it so much. Am I crazy?
The other day I took a walk in my PITIFUL garden...out back I have this little "thing" I planted last year with perennial splits from my very successful gardening friend. She gave me a whole garden's worth of stuff...lillies in several colors, violas, geraniums, and Forget Me Nots. So far, just the violas and Forget Me Nots are blooming. Besides being so blue & pretty...Forget Me Nots remind me of my Grandmother. She used to have them growing along the side of her house. Today, they are a symbol of Alzheimer's Awareness and Sweet & Sassy Stamps designed a beautiful Forget Me Not set that all participants in Stampin Out Alzheimers can download it for FREE. Isn't this just a gorgeous summery little set of candles? This is one of The Greeting Farm's stamp sets that is on my wish list...I was lucky enough to receive an image in an SCS swap recently and decided to use the image for a Stampin Out Alzheimer's sketch challenge this week. This sketch was sponsored by Sweet n Sassy Stamps.
Here's another card I did to clean up some "schtuff"... the CB Floral Fantasy was already done, the image was something someone sent to me, and I used scraps for the mats! I sponged Chocolate Chip on the embossed BG to tone it down a bit. The image is colored with SU Markers and I hand wrote the sentiment (which is why it's sooooo bad LOL). This is a really cute image...hmmm....might have to go looking for this one.
Just a quick post today...DD has an "all-day" appointment at the hospital today. Don't worry, it's not serious, it's just her yearly follow up at the Developmental Clinic. It's a long, stressful day, but at least it's not surgery or anything like that!
This is one of those retired sets I stalked on ebay for a looooong time. I just needed to have it. I love the irises and the hummingbird in this set. I tried to make an Easter card with it, but it was U-G-L-Y so I didn't post it ;) Anyhow, I tried again recently and practiced my watercoloring with blender pens again. I'm soooo happy with the way this card turned out! I embossed the image in black ep with Versamark. It really helps to keep the watercolor in place...but be careful to not touch the embossing while your coloring...puddles of ink on the embossing will smuge on your fingers and then the paper...it can ruin a well colored image (speaking from experience, of course LOL).
Here's another card from my Card a Palooza binge last week... the card front was already made and just waiting for an image and sentiment...so it was a real quick one to finish :) Daisy's pants are Chocolate Chip...here is one instance when I wished I had (and knew how to use) Copics...the brown is just toooooo dark & opaque...and I've since seen this image done with brown copics and it looked great. Anyone giving away any copics??? LOL
This paper was just CALLING Ian's name. I had ONE image of Dress Up Ian from a swap and this paper was just perfect for the little rocker. I pulled out this image in the first place so I could participate over at the Corrosive Challenge again...haven't been there for a while...and this week was a Rock theme.
This was a card full of firsts: First VSN, First time using this HM Stamp and First time doing spotlight technique...which I got a bit wrong :( HOWEVER, this card won me a free stamp set from Unity Stamp Co., which is very nice. The challenge was to use Spotlight technique and add some rhinestones (note the tiny twinkles on all the raindrops).
My Ketto card was for the sketch challenge...it was supposed to resemble a slot machine since the theme for this VSN was Las Vegas... I REALLY like this card...except for the charm...it doesn't show up very well. 
This card was for the monochromatic green challenge...only green and a neutral. I made two of them because I had just enough of the dots dp and wanted to use it up. There are tiny twinkles around the sentiment too, which gives it a really nice, finished look.
This card was for the inspiration challenge, based on a Vegas wedding cake that was blue fondant with white accents. I heat embossed Baroque Motifs on Bashful Blue...took about 15 minutes to make this one...which was nice because it was nearly midnight for me by now.
This was for the CSI Challenge... to use a frame on a card. I had these Unity Stamp Co sentiments from the Canadian Express Image Swap and it just seemed to be the perfect thing to frame. The chipboard frame is K&Co from last year's Christmas collection, and I just highlighted a few words with SU markers. EZPZ Lemon Squeezy :)

I broke in Precious Coffee Shop from Modern Sugar Blvd. for this week's Color Dare challenge: Sage Shadow, So Saffron, Rose Red and neutrals. This latte-loving gal is sooooo me. I love me a latte...and my espresso machine broke this morning! ACK! The sentiment is computer generated. I printed the image right onto a piece of Raspberry Tart DP from SU. Then I printed the image again on Whisper White, heat set it, and colored with SU Markers & a Touch marker for the skin.
Another Card a Palooza clean up card :) Had some scraps of this DP that I LOOOOVE and wanted to use a quote for the Caardvarks challenge and this is what I came up with. The ribbon actually has hot pink flowers on it, but it didn't photograph well. I think this quote makes a great Graduation card.
No...I'm not hosting a card a palooza event or anything...but I have made a huge number of cards the last two days...nearly 20 I think! I'm on a roll! The clean up part is beause I am using up some DP scraps and already printed/stamped images...trying to clean up my space! Some of them are filed away for future use, some are gifts, but here's one I can show you today. I did this for The Digi Shack's color challenge: Navy, Brown, Black & Kraft. There's minimal black in this, but it's there!!! I had wanted to use a quote from Alice in Wonderland for this card, since it is The Greeting Farm's Alice Anya digi, but I couldn't find one that fit, so went with a Congrats card instead :)

When I saw this ant on the High Hopes web site a few months back I near FREAKED OUT! My sister and I have a history with the High Hopes ant & song... when we were kids we used to have to share a room when sleeping at my grandmothers and one night we got to giggling over this song so hard and long that we got in trouble :) Lucky for me, this stamp was a new release coming out and I just got it the other day! And they've come out with some other ants that I'll have to get soon too.
So now that I have a few (well, I couldn't buy just one stamp, now could I?) High Hopes stamps, I'm going to participate in their weekly challenges. This week we were to create a card for the guys... so I chose guy-like colors, but I'll probably send this one to my sister :) I seriously need to practice my watercoloring, tho... I didn't get the shading quite like I'd hoped.
I liked this color combo so much on that stamp set that I made another card! This one is all Stampin Up!
This is another entry into the Digiments Challenge Michelle is having. Have I mentioned that I LOVE this concept? This card was sooooo quick. I just printed the digiment on a quarter sheet, trimmed it down, stamped Lovely as a Tree in Creamy Caramel, added some mats & ribbon and VOILA! A quick and simple and perhaps even MASCULINE card! Would you believe I just got Lovely as a Tree last week? It was one of those sets I knew I should have, but just never seemed to order. I have sooo many plans for it, you're gonna be sick of it in a couple of weeks :)
Now this card is for the PaperMakeup Stamps Release Party Challenge (you can find all the challenges in the Forums on the store site). This challenge was to use the colors Black, Grey, White and a soft blue. They suggested Baja or Bashful blue, but I found this beautiful toile paper in my stash and it called for Bordering Blue, so that's what I used. I also had to go with Vanilla because printed paper was Vanilla, not white...but I still think I qualify. This card wasn't at all what I planned to do for the challenge...but I quite like it. I'm going to try to do another one with the REAL colors because I think it's just a beautiful serene combo.
