Cristy Croll custom design giveaway

Have you checked out the blog for Tiddly Inks designer Cristy Croll? She's giving away a custom design to one lucky reader...check out her cool artwork :)

Fairy Trio

Isn't this a darling little trio of fairies? Many thanks to Rachel for sending me some fairy images from The Greeting Farm to play with (you can't OWN EVERYTHING). I thought these would make cute thank you cards for DD's bday party...except they're fairies, not princesses...hmmm...think she'll notice?

The DSP was from a Brenda Walton K&Co stack I've been hoarding. I colred them with SU markers in Orchid, Celery, Banana and Caramel. Used my nesties for the circles. The sketch is from CPS. Rubons are American Crafts Mini Marks.

Rubber Bombshells Challenge Card

The Rubber Bombshells challenge was to case a card from Michelle. I chose this recent card of her's because I hadn't played with my Scor Pal very much :)
I changed the color combo to monochromatic blues, changed the sentiment & ribbons, but the basic layout & scoring is the same :)

Finally Back to CARDS!

Well, my big scrapbook project for the church is done, so I finally got a chance to make some cards this weekend. My BIL was celebrating his 50th birthday, so I had to make him an "old man" card. the inside reads "Getting lucky means finding your car in the parking lot." This dsp is from Chatterbox...same sheet, different sides LOL.

I thought the Basic Gray sketch looked interesting this week, so I pulled out this Yoop image I had colored but set aside and wanted to use it... getting the dimensions on the card was a bit tricky, but I like the sketch. It doesn't qualify for the challenge because I didn't use anything BG on it...but I'll do it again with my "good" paper :) I'm not really happy with this card... I almost didn't post it...not sure why...I think I just didn't get the dsp mix quite right... and the sentiment... Oh well...try, try again :)
Hmmmm...Lighting sucks today too :)

PMS Challenge Cards

Besides my DDs party invites, I managed to make two cards for multiple challenges this week. First I did the Sprout card above for the PMS Sketch Challenge. Pink & orange is one of my fav color combos...especially for summer. There seems to be a lot of focus on orange right now...the SU demo magazine for April had an orange article & challenge; Ann's Creative Nook challenges us to use orange; Dawn McVey (my card just barely meets the brown requirement for that one) challenged us to use an orange combo; and Sweet & Sassy Stamps was looking for orange & pink or orange & brown this week.

This card also uses a PMS stamp. When I saw the sketch at Card Positioning Systems this week, I thought of using a sentiment right off...which is unusual for me since sentiment-focused cards are difficult for me. I stayed with the Pink & Orange colors for this one too. Thanks to my SCS friend Trish, I had some new ribbon, conchos & brads to add to this card :)

Princess Anya Invitations

This is Samantha's Birthday party invitation. She's turning 4 and is into everything princess/fairy. We're asking all her little friends to wear princess costumes...should be a blast :)

YES! I used that High Hopes sketch again...I had to do these last night and wanted it done fast. I used up some scraps of that gorgeous shimmery paper and the pink DSP to make them...I only needed 4. I used silver stickles to make her wand and crown really sparkle...she loved them when I showed her.

Simple Easter Card for Church Group

Every Easter our Church has an "Inter Generational" event... people of all ages (thus the inter-generational part) are invited to come to the church and partake in a variety of crafts...I usually do some Easter cards and have to have samples up for TOMORROW! YIKES. Anyhow, here's one that I will do using up some leftover SAB papers...it's a quick card, which is perfect for a group you're never sure whether they've stamped before or not! LOL I have a stained glass card too, but I just can't seem to "finish" it...it's too plain & boring to post yet. I CASED this layout from another SCSer.

My first MFT card!

And guess what...it's for a double challenge LOL. I got some great MFT images on the Canadian Express Image Swap at SCS...this is just the first one I've had a chance to play with, so I decided to use the MFT sketch for this week.... WHY NOT? And the Color Throwdown challenge of Not Quite Navy, Blush Blossom and Kiwi Kiss. The DSP stripes are from Urban Garden and the mat is from Prints Pack hostess set.

Don't try this at home!

This card took FOREVAH to finish. I wanted to get it right, so first I did a rough prototype on cheapy paper...to make sure I had the right colors & proportions. Then I started with the real paper...I spent over an hour just cutting out the little tulips & daffodils! In the end, I'm thrilled with the result...not sure if you can really see the dimensional aspect of it on here, but it's a Stair Step card, so there are three distinct "levels" to the scene.

The background of mountains is a new stamp from Doodlefactory. I started by masking the mountains and sponging on Bashful Blue ink to create the blue sky. I paper pieced the mountains with Core'dinations textured papers...and let me just say that getting a clear image on textued paper was NOT easy for me :) The trees are all popped up on dimensionals, as is the sun. The clouds were colored with a white gel pen. The snow on the mountains is done with a white gel pen and flock.

All the cute little tulips and daffodils are from Doodlefactory Easter. It's all Dawn's fault that I had to order all this Doodlefactory stuff! She does such amazing stuff with them. I've got a whole other set I haven't even cut into yet! Anyhow, I put the close up here to show the detail of the grass, which was cut on my Cricut, and the flowers, which have....Tiny Twinkles in their centres...what's a card without a little bling? And I tried to create a variety of daffodils by coloring them differently, too.

Now, I also have to credit Dawn with the inspiration for this...the fairy wings were embossed with black on ACETATE! Then I used my Versamarker and Irridescent Ice ep to give them a shimmery, see-through-ish sparkle! I made two of each fairy's wings and left a bit of the "back" on when I cut them out. Then I gently bent the wings at the junction of the back so they would spread out. both wings are adhered with a glue dot.
All the coloring is done with SU Markers. The flowers are Summer Sun & Real Red, with a couple of Regal Rose thrown in. Kirsten is Pale Plum, Brocade Blue and Blush Blossom. Sprout is in my new fav for the fairies, Apricot Appeal, and Brocade Blue.
There are two things I don't like about this card...
1. I don't think I could actually mail it...one because of all the work! It would have to be a pretty special person who I know would display it in lights LOL and two because I'd be afraid it woudld squish the wings.
2. I haven't figured out a way to make it sit "just so"...so that the steps are all in just the right position...I tried little shims underneath and I tried a string through all the layers and neither worked...but maybe I just didn't get them right.
So I guess I'm stuck with this piece of artwork for now LOL Terrible Tragedy, isn't it? Oh yes, and if you've made it this far, this will be my submission for the PMS 3-D Challenge.

PMS Sketch Challenge

Well, technically, this card is for both the sketch & color challenges... the colors were orange, green and white. I am really starting to like this color combo: Apricot Appeal, Wild Wasabi/Garden Green and Certainly Celery. It's very spring-like. The DSP are Martha Stewart and the sentiment is from Stamping Bella.

CPS Sketch & PMS Color Challenge

I've been wanting to make some long skinny cards for a while now, so when I saw the CPS sketch this week, I knew I would use it. I also needed to do something for the PMS color challenge, green, orange & white. So I decided to use sprout again, and the scraps of my DCWV Pocket full of Posies paper left over from the last card :) If I were to do it again, I think I would trim the image down a bit more, but overall I like the card. I might try the color challenge again before I submit one...just to see if I come up with something else I like better :)
Since I can't seem to get stickles to look "neat" on the wings of these fairies, I've decided that what works better for me is a Versamarker and Irridescent Ice embossing powder...that's what I used on Sprout's wings here. Don't miss all the Tiny Twinkles on the sentiment medallion!
Hmmm....there was a challenge somewhere this week to use up stuff in your stash...this card definitely fits! I used scraps of DSP, scraps of Marigold Morning c/s (at least 2 years old), my one and only scrap of Wild Wasabi ribbon, scraps of Wild Wasabi paper, and a scrap of white Mulberry paper. It's a very scrappy card :) Now....where WAS that challenge LOL

Krafty Riding Suns

He. He. They always come up with such interesting titles for the color challenges at SCS. This week we were to use Kraft, Riding Hood Red and Summer Sun. I decided that with 3 workshops coming up next week, I should maybe think about using my new SU set Trendy Trees...I'd had it for a week and it wasn't even mounted yet! I still have one other set to mount from the same order....oohhhhh so many stamps, so little time LOL. I also used the new scallop oval punch that is coming out in the next mini catalogue in April...it's sooooo cute.

Inky Impressions 1st Design Team Call

If you haven't already heard, there's another new stamp company coming and does she ever have two of the cutest little girlies on her blog previews... LiLi and Angelica...well...they could be my DDs without a doubt! Adorable. So Nicole, being a start up stamp business is looking for design team (DT) members and I've decided to apply (get in line, there's about 60 people ahead of me LOL). Those of you who already come here know that I love my little girly stamps...so this is a company I could totally get behind.

To apply we have to create a blog post (CHECK) for the DT call, include two of our best pieces with colored line images, and link it back on her blog. Pick two of my favs? That's too hard... but here's what I've decided...

Two of my favorite cards I've done recently. I love Anya, of course, because she's soooo easy to color and looks good in just about anything LOL. The Sugar Nellie image above was my very first chance to use a SN... I received the image in a swap and finally took her out to play last night. Some stamps I find it takes a few tried to figure them out and get it just right, but I was really happy with my little purple girl.
So there you have it...this is my submission for DT at Inky Impressions. Wish me luck!!!

My Time Saturday Sketch

Once again, in my quest to try every challenge out there (LOL), I decided to participate in Lauren Meader's My Time Saturday Sketch this week. I got this adorable image from Shana on the Canadian Express Image Swap I started on SCS. This is a super way to get some images without buying the stamps...try before you buy again :)
Also, I've decided that I just don't NEED Copics. I mean, look at this image. I can't yet do all the shading that expert Copic users do, but honestly, I just don't think there's anything wrong with the coloring of this image (or most of my images for that matter). As I practice more coloring with the SU markers and blender pens, I get better at shading & combining. So it's my mission to show you that you don't NEED to buy Copics to make great cards. (OK Copic people, please don't flame me...I simply cannot afford another addiction LOL).
The image is cut out with my Long Rectangle nesties...they were too long so I shortened it up a bit by running the image & scallop through twice. Works like a dream!

Go Green!

Many thanks to Lisa (Whoot! Whoot! She made the PMS Design Team...congrats Lisa)...she sent me some super cute Stamping Bella images to play with and this cute Turtle Tot is just one of them. Sometimes you just wanna try before you buy, and that was the case with the last couple of Bella releases for me...the turtle tots are super cute...but I'm not sure how much I would use them...and the new Kettos...well, they're different LOL.
The only challenge this card is for the "GREEN" challenge at Stamp Something and the Spring inspiration challenge at 2 Red Bananas. I don't have any diligent Irish friends, so I don't really do St. Patty's Day...therefore, I have no SPD stamps to speak of. I figured a green turtle was just as good...and he's soooo darn cute, too :) With his bright pink flowers he's definitely looking "springy".

Back to your Regularly Scheduled Anyas LOL

Ok...I'm a little "fairyied OUT" after spending the last couple of days concentrating on the PMS fairies for the blog hop...don't get me wrong...they are gojus and the hop was fantastically fun...I even won a new sentiment stamp while I played along :) But pooor little Anya felt left out. After all she had a new release yesterday too, and a blog hop of her own. So here are two Anya cards to ease my guilt LOL

This bright, "Cheery" (HA HA) card is a triple challenge... The sketch is the Banana Split Sketch from 2 Red Bananas...my first time trying their sketches and I quite liked this one for Anya. The colors were inspired by the book cover inspiration piece at Belli Challenge...a beautiful red & white flower on a black background. Red & white reminded me of my middle school colors, so I immediately thought of Cheer Anya. the sentiment is from Circle of Friendship...I just thought the Hip, Hip, Hooray fit a cheerleader :) She's embossed with black ep and colored with SU markers top to bottom. Don't miss my favorite little Tiny Twinkles on the sentiment. And look at those black primas...I didn't think I would ever find a reason to use black flowers, but I didn't have any red ones the right size!

This card is the prototype for a swap I joined with Joni on SCS. I used the first sketch from The Greeting Farm for this swap because it just works sooo well for Anya. The papers are Delicate Dots, the SAB papers for this year. My actual swap doesn't have skittles on it, tho because I forgot to add them! Don't worry...this is just a prototype...if you swap with me I won't send you an image that is stamped fuzzy like this one LOL
Sorry about the shadows on the cards today...it's a nice sunny morning, but I can't seem to get away from the shadows...

PMS Blog Hop 1 - Sprout

This card with Sprout is my first card for the PMS Blog Hop today. I used the MOJO MOnday sketch fand was inspired to think "Nature" by Courtney's challenge, so the papers are from the Pockets & Posies stack. Big Brads are Queen & Co, and the scallop oval punch will be out soon in the SU Spring Mini catalogue :)

If you're just coming in here, please check out the PaperMakeup Stamps blog for the full list of Blog Hop participants, challenges and fun!

PMS Blog Hop 4 - Kirsten

ETA: I'm really annoyed that these posts are out of order...I did them in the right order and it re-arranged them...and I can't seem to move them around GRRRR.

Ok...last card for today's Blog Hop. I hope I've inspired you to try some new stamps...if you don't already own a PMS fairy, try one out and I guarantee you'll love coloring them.

Here is Kirsten. When I saw her on the PMS site I absolutely had a huge intake of breath...I knew I just had to have her. There's something about the dandelion that makes her seem so innocent to me.

This layout is courtesy of Mel's Super Saturday Challenge, and the color combo is for the Color Dare - Plum, Gable Green and Old Olive...now I admit, there's not a lot of Gable in here, but I did highlight some grass with Gable, and the sentiment is all three colors layered.

This card also fits Katie's Double Bling Challenge as I used Distressed Stickles on Kirsten's wings, and an SU Rhinestone brad on the flower.

Now, if you're just starting...check out my next three posts for a few more PaperMakeup Fairy cards. And don't forget to go back to the PaperMakeup Stamps Blog for the complete list of Blog Hop Participants and fun!

PMS Blog Hop 3 - Lauren

This was the first card I did with the Blog Hop in mind. At the time Lauren was the only PMS fairy I had as my new order hadn't arrived. I just looooove this paper from the SEI Charlemagne stack and thought it was perfect for Katie's double bling challenge this week. My bling is the gold foil in the paper, shiny gold paper for the doily border and stickles...on her wings and little dots on the sentiment flowers. Oh yes, and there are those gojus rhinestones in the corner (Marcella by K).

I have to say I had a devil of a time coloring Lauren this time... Markers were just tooo bright, WC pencils too light...didn't have the right WWC colors... so finally I tried blender pens & ink puddles...and this is the result. I just wish I had a copper metallic pen to add some accents with...gold just wasn't cutting it.

The sentiment is a sneaky preview of Oval All & the scallop oval punch from the upcoming SU Spring Mini Catalogue :)

PMS Blog Hop 2 - Emma

Here's my second card for the PMS Bloghop. This is Emma and she, along with Sprout and Kirsten, just flew into my hot little hands on Friday. I couldn't wait to get them inked up for the Blog Hop and wanted to feature one of each fairy today. This layout is from the Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge, and I chose the paper and colors to fit The Pink Elephant Challenge 5 - pink, green & brown. I also added a white mat behind Emma instead of what I would normally use (chocolate in this case), for the Stamp Simply Challenge 78.

Again, don't miss all the Tiny Twinkles...around the sentiment, on the umbrella and on Emma's coat. Emma was embossed with Versamark & black ep, and colored with SU Markers.

Curious Case of Fabby Gabby's Card

I really have been stamping this week...but this is the only card I can show you today. I'll have 4 count 'em F-O-U-R new PaperMakeup Stamps Fairy cards to show you tomorrow during their blog hop.

This card is for the Curious Case challenge at The Greeting Farm. We were to case a card by Gabby and she gets to choose the winner. I seem to be having trouble fitting things onto normal 4.25 x 5.5 cards lately... the PMS fairies and now this Anya...I just feel like they need MORE space. So this card is 5.25 x 7.5. I base my card sizes on envies that I have in my stash and these ones are left overs from wedding invites I think LOL.

The GOJUS embossed black paper is from the SEI Charlemagne stack. I picked it up on CLEARANCE the other day and just LOOOOOVE it. The Chipboard letters are Rockstar by DCWV (also a clearance item...paid like $1 for the box). The little wingy heart brad is by Creative Imaginations. The cherries are from SU's Just Jawing and I used Versamark, then stamped in red and covered with clear embossing powder to give them a glossy look. Oh and don't miss all the Tiny Twinkles I used... I think Tiny Twinkles are my very most favorite thing right now... There are red & turquoise twinkles on her hairband and one little red one on her guitar. This Anya is staped with Versafine & colored with SU Markers: Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and Basic Grey.

Corrosive Challenge

I KNOW! I KNOW! I KNOW what you're thinking... find a new layout already :) And some of you might be wishing I stopped "challenging" too. Honestly, challenges are just a great mojo mover for me. A challenge makes some of the decisions for me and that makes it easier to get going. And this layout...well, it just WORKS!
So, this card started out as a submission for the Corrosive Challenge this week, which was an inspiration challenge based on a pair of PJ pants. Then I remembered reading a challenge recently that was to create your own dsp, which I did by just swiping some SU markers across my strip of paper to create stripes. And I added more doodles for the OCC challenge and some zig zags (for a challenge I can't find now)... AND lo and behold, my color scheme fits this week's Pink Elephant challenge--pink, green & brown. LOL so, that's a total of 4 challenges in one card Plus the two I can't find to give you a link to)! OMGosh...see you blurf, you read the challenges, and then they're just there...in your head...and it just comes out when you're making a card.
Two things
1. I looked at the local Michael's today and couldn't find the tiny flatback pearls people have said they've seen there...but I'll keep trying.
2. I colored Anya's face with Copics...whatever kind of paper this is doesn't work so well for the Copics...I can see the annoying coloring lines :(
OK 3 things
I don't really see the need for copics...I have two skin tones, and I don't feel like I need to venture any further. I colored Anya with SU markers...no lines...better than the copic on this paper anyhow. I think it just takes some getting used to with the SU markers...and they work better on the SU paper too, I think.
Rachel, I still love ya for sending me the images! I've had a blast with them and can't wait for the fairies to arrive :)

Card Positioning Systems Sketch

This card just doesn't look as nice on screen as it does in person...in person the ribbons don't look like a jumbled mess LOL I saw a card on someone's blog while blurfing...it was for a ribbon twirler and she had her ribbons done similar to this on her card. When I saw the sketch for CPS today, I just thought it was the right finishing touch for this card. The paper & ladybugs are K&Co Wild Saffron collection. The sentiment is a rubon from my stash.

Basic Grey Sketch & Add a Doodle for OCC

In my quest to find new challenges, I decided to break open my BG Sugared pack that I got for Christmas...can't believe it has taken me so long. And would you believe this is my very FIRST TIME using Basic Grey paper that I'm aware of? So, this is the Basic Grey sketch challenge 25 submission. One of the rules to play is that you must use at least one BG product. I managed to find two in my stash...the paper is all from Sugared (except the card base and white) and I also had some rubons that I hadn't opened yet, so the pretty black frame is also BG.

I also thought this just needed "something" when it was done, so I ended up doodling a little black frame around the reddish/brownish oval piece. Now it fits the OCC challenge too :)

Now a question for ya! I really want to give Pretty Hat Anya some "real" pearls. Do you know of anywhere to buy super-tiny flatback pearls? These would have to be about 1/2 the size of the small ones in the SU Pretties kit...I would love to be able to do this...PLEASE HELP!

Rubber Bombshells Featured Blogger CASE Challenge

I am hosting the second challenge for my blogging group, The Rubber Bombshells. This challenge is to case a card from the featured blogger: Michelle. Feel free to play along even if you're not part of the Rubber Bombshells group :)

Rubber Bombshells Featured Blogger Challenge 2
SCS Keyword RBFBC2

This week’s featured stamper is: Michelle http://shellpole.blogspot.com/

CASEing Guidelines
1.Pick any card or project from Michelle’s blog.
2. Change 2 or more things on the card. It could be a color combo, embellishements, backgrounds, or even the main image could be different but similar because you don't own the exact image. List the changes in your description.
3. Give credit to the original stamper. Put a link to the original card in your description. Please make sure it’s a link to her card post and not the main blog.
4. Please note the following regarding Sketch Challenge cards: If you are keeping the same layout but changing most everything else on the featured stamper's card, make sure it isn't a sketch challenge card (SC##). The reason is because it is essentially is a CASE of the sketch since it isn't the featured stamper's original idea. Thanks!
4. Once you have blogged your card, please return to this post and link it in the comment section!

My First Taylored Expressions Challenge

This one was just "Meant to Be", KWIM? In all seriousness, last night I came across some images of TGF's Pretty Hat Anya that Rachel had sent to me a while back. I was looking at all the little bitty pieces and thinking, "I should use those on a tile card tomorrow". This morning, I get up and start blurfing the sites for challenges and what should appear? The TECC this week is a sketch of a tile card! Talk about coinky-dinks! So, I decided that I would play along for the first time over there. So...believe it or not, all these cute little bits are leftovers from Pretty Hat Anya :) The DSP is the Autumn Leaves pack again because I just love that flowered paper...I'm going to have to use something else out of that pack soon.
ETA: I also was doing this for the Limited Supplies Challenge today...to make a card in under 30 minutes. I was pushing the 30 minutes, but I didn't time myself very well.
ETA AGAIN: This card was featured on the Monday Lineup at TGF :) Color me happy!

Pink Elephant Belli Challenge

I decided to try some new challenges this morning...so after I finished my botched SFYTT card, I decided to try a couple of the challenges my Blogger Sisters are doing...The Pink Elephant challenge and the Belli Challenge The Pink Elephant challenge today was to use die cuts & ribbon. I didn't get a lot of ribbon on this one, but there is one piece of great Prima ric rack...hope that counts :) The flowers are die cuts from a Cuttlekids flower set. The Bellie Challenge this week was to use a color you don't use very often...after considering Glorious Green, my only "HATED" color, I decided that was too much of a challenge LOL and resorted to Turquoise...a color I love, but don't use very often. I had these bling brads from K&Co waiting to be used and got the rest of the color combo from those.

More Secret Sister Card Kits

Here are the other two cards I made my card kits from Melanie. I originally made bellas for both of them, but I OVER blinged the other bella image and ended up trashing it :) So I replaced her with Lauren from PaperMakeup Stamps. I decided that Lauren wasn't seeing enough ink and I played with her a bit this morning. I don't know what's wrong with the bella picture... it should be the same color as the Lauren one...weird. I'll try to fix that.

My First Time...ehhhh...

This is my first time playing on Jenn D's Sketch For You to Try challenge (SFYTT). I'm not sure why, but I don't like this card myself... not sure I will enter it at all. I can't put my finger on it, but I think it stems from the fact that my stamp was dirty and the middle of the flowers came out green instead of the yellow I used...they look funny to me in green, I guess. Ifinished the card anyhow, and here it is...hopefully I'll get a chance to try the sketch again.

Secret Sister Card Kits

I got the most awesome Secret Sister package yesterday from Melanie. There was a beautiful altered journal, TONS of images, primas, bling, card kits and stickles...it was wonderful. I wasn't feeling overly creative last night, so I put together the card kits she sent me. Here are the first two...I love the color combo.

And this card uses one of the images she sent me. I had the card base all made to match a gift bag I altered, but had never put an image on it...this one seemed to fit. This birdie is so cute! the paper is from SSK Friends and Flowers by SU.

SCS Demo Wicked Challenge

Here's my first attempt at a triple feature Wicked Challenge for March. The three challenges I combined are colors: Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango and Old Olive; sketch and technique: Faux Stitching. I'm not really happy with this version...I might try again another day. I didn't put on the sentiment because I just didn't have anything that seemed to fit or look right. I like having blank cards on hand anyhow.
Supplies
Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes
Ink: Chocolate chip, Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Tangerine Tang
Paper: glossy white, Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Bella Blossom, Olive prints, Bashful Blue prints
Accessories: baby wipes, reinkers, photo corner punch, paper piercer, Signo White gel pen, Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon.
Tehcnique: Baby Wipe technique

MOJO Monday

Here is my submission for Mojo Monday 76. I am so enjoying getting back into the challenge mode again. It's way more fun than copying everything I make...although I still do a lot of that too :)
I don't know how much of the detail you can see on this card. There are tiny twinkles on the Missy on the right...clear on her boot buckles, and orange on her purse handles and her hairband. Missy on the left has a couple of pink twinkles on her blouse. The colors were totally inspired by this beautiful hand made paper card I received in a package from Chris a while back. It's a bit larger than normal...about 4x6.
Supplies
Stamps: Miss Anya, The Greeting Farm
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx
Markers: Certainly Celery, Pumpkin Pie, Pretty in Pink Regal Rose, Creamy Caramel, Barely Banana, copic flesh tone
Accessories: Tiny Twinkles; silk flowers, The Paper Studio; top note die, Stampin Up!; lime button, American Crafts; argyle paper, DCWV Teen Stack; Signo white gel pen; Nestabilities scallop and plain circle.

Paper Makeup Stamps Inspiration Challenge

Katie's challenge this week was to check out one designers, Diem's on-line gallery and get inspired. I chose THIS pic from her gallery and used the colors blue & yellow as my inspiration. Now Cheer Anya is from The Greeting Farm, not PaperMakeup...don't want to confuse anyone...I just thought that blue & gold made for great school colors for a cheerleader :P I also used the High Hopes sketch from a couple weeks ago again...LOVE that sketch!
Supplies:
Stamps: Cheer Anya, The Greeting Farm; Warmest Regards, Stampin Up!
Ink: Versamark (embossed with detail black), Pacific Point
Paper: DSP from Autumn Leaves, So Saffron, Old Olive, Pacific Point, WW
Accessories: Black detail ep, markers, blender pen & ink (Pacific Point), skittles, Ticket Corner Punch, Pacific Point striped ribbon

Color Challenge

When I saw today's color challenge, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip and Pink Passion, I nearly panicked...how was I going to fit Pink Passion in with those colors? YIKES. I never look at any samples in the gallery before I do my own so that I know it's totally my own idea. And I was so pleasantly surprised by my first attempt at this strange color combo, that I made a second one! So here are two submissions to CC208 on SCS. I did the Lion first :)
Supplies:
Stamps: Wild About You, Simply Said, A Little Something
Ink: chocolate Chip, Pink Passion, Kiwi Kiss
Paper: WW, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Pink Passion, Bellas Blossom
Accessories: Markers, dimensionals, eyelet & scallop border punches, circle punches, label punch
Technique: For the lion's mane I "stamped off" to get the variation in color.

A Couple of Quickies

I have a ton of stuff to post today...so I'm going to group them a bit :) These two cards I am actually using...not just putting in my stash! the black & white invite is for a special event at my church that I am helping out with. It was sooooo simple and looks so elegant with the cuttled front. The sympathy card is one that I did recently with one of my Stampers 10 clubs, but unfortunately I need to use it now.

Some Awesome Free Printables stuff

Ok...this is not stamping related...although I do plan to make some of these projects and incorporate stamping...eventually. I was blurfing today to find some printable skull dsp for a project I have in mind and when I found it, I also ran across these AWESOME sites. You have to check out the freebies & templates they have available. My mind is REELING with the possibilities.
