This is what keeps me from posting...

My two snow angels. They keep me pretty busy. We had a few inches of nice sticky snow on Friday night, so I bundled them up to go out and play on Saturday morning. I think the bundling took more time than we actually spent outside, but oh well, they had fun. First thing Samantha did was run for the swing. It doesn't matter what time of year it is, she wants to swing. I think it's because there are no swings on the playground at daycare, so she feels deprived. Elizabeth walked around making "pootfrints" and then fell over for a snow angel. Then I thought, well, the snow is nice and packy...let's make a snowman. I'd forgotten how hard it can be to make a nice, round, hard ball for a snowman. Anyhow, we finally got one built even tho the snow wasn't quite to "rolling" consistency.

Now, on to the rest of my day...I've already been to the gym (owwww), sent out a job application (YAY) and updated my blog (Whoo Hoo). Next is cleaning the kitchen floor and then laundry. THEN, if I'm a good girl, I'll get to play with the new stuff the courier brought this morning and creat the sample for an upcoming class I am very excited about. Watch for the teaser pics tomorrow...if all goes well. Then, if there's still time, I'll pop over to Poetic Artistry for Mojo Monday again...I missed out last week. I haven't been doing much stamping lately as I've been running around applying for jobs, building snowmen and taking kids to appointments...hu, hu, hu, hu...I'm tired just telling you about it! MOJO Monday...on Tuesday

Whew...what a busy week I had last week...I don't know where the days went, but I missed a MOJO sketch all together! I had two ideas for this week's great sketch at Poetic Artistry, so here are both of my ideas. I had this great Prima flower that I received in a trade and had never used, so I built my first card around it. The For a Friend hostess stamp set is great because it just seems to work with any color combination, so I pulled it out... and I was right! LOL But then I had another idea...I had been practising my marker coloring last night and had this one flower that actually turned out in pink, so I cut it out and built my second card for it. I LOVE the pink & black colors together...something else that always works. The black really makes the colors pop on this one and it was NOT finished until I added the dots on the black mat...I LOVE this card.

Intergenerational Event at Bedford Baptist Church

If you're looking for something to do next Sunday (March 16th), why not join me at the Bedford Baptist Easter Intergenerational from 3-5 pm? For just $5 you will get to make three Easter Cards...pictured below (or a reasonable facsimile of these three cards). You do not have to be a member of the church to come, but there is a slight chance that the class will be full...it wasn't last time and I'll prepare a few extra just in case! It's just a fun event for families to have some fellowship & creative time making Easter projects. Let me know if you would like to come and I'll sign your name on the sheet to save your spot!

Sketch Challenge & my precious sculpture!

Here is my card for the SCS Sketch Challenge 166. I used the new Summer Picnic Designer Paper and lots of added dots for dimension. In person, the birthdya sentiment kind of reminds me of the lights on a mirror in a dressing room...they almost seem to be flashing at me :)

Now...for the precious sculpture part :) THIS is the most beautiful thing you've ever seen, isn't it? I WON this at the auction at my daughters' preschool open house/35th Anniversary. Isn't is fabulous? I mean, I love how they layered rocks, pasta and pom poms...how creative!

Yes... I am absolutely being sarcastic...Of all the creations they were auctioning off, I figured I could at least recycle the vase...but it is kind of neat...I mean they are only 4 & 5 year olds...I'm not really expecting "The Thinker" :) Now...what am I going to tell Samantha someday when she asks why I didn't buy her class's creation?
