A Paisley Christmas

Paisley is NOT my thing... I couldn't find any paisley Christmas-y paper at all in my stash. But I did happen across this great stamp from Stampin Up! that fits the bill for this week's Christmas Card Challenge!

Life has been crazy busy here for me since September... My new business is keeping me going 24/7 and I'm just not finding the time to craft like I used to :( I miss it. Thank goodness for the few teams I am still on or I would probably just stop all together! We all need something to destress, right? Hopefully I'll find more time soon...but at least I have a bunch of Christmas Cards ready to go for this year!

It's sketch week at Christmas Card Challenges...but please... you don't have to do it red & green like I did LOL... I swear I didn't plan it that way! This cute image is from Bugaboo Stamps... I love Jodie's images but I don't seem to use them very often. This one was already printed and waiting to go. My papers are Paper Temptress: Pop Tones Wild Cherry, Mica/Metallic Fairway, and Heavenly White.

PMS February Blog Hop

I'm so busy getting my business up and running that cardmaking has taken a back-back-back seat. So, I find myself making CAS cards a lot more than I used to. This one was inspired by something I saw on Pinterest and I quite like how it turned out, I think. 

Did you know that PMS still has lots of rubber stamps left? Katie decided to go all digi a while back and she's clearing out the rubber stamps...at an AMAZING 75% off! Both of my stamps today are good ol' fashioned rubber, and Kiss & Makeup is still available in rubber... this one you want in rubber because those lips are fab-u-lous embossed!

For today's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges I used some branch stamps from Heartfelt Creations to make my main panel. I added the sentiment on vellum so it wouldn't cut the panel off. I really like how this one turned out...I haven't been saying that lately! This could be a repeater...you know...the one you make a bunch of at the last minute LOL.

Well....I tried LOL. I love the Faux Metal technique, but I just never seem to be able to get it to work just right. I think this stamp was just too big. The stamp is Moody for Presents from Paper Makeup Stamps. Hopefully you'll have better luck with your technique for this week's technique challenge at Christmas Card Challenges!

Paper Temptress Day

Today's my day to post at Paper Temptress and I've decided to feature another new image from Paper Makeup Stamps on this card. This is Fairy Jane...poor Jane, she's not feeling so well. I've stamped Jane on Cryogen White paper with Memento ink and colored her with Copics. I've also used Wild Cherry and Basis Teal. My layout today is from this week's JUGS challenge.
